Amanda Brugel

(February 27th of 2010 to Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a quiet community located on the part of Montreal known as"the West Island. People unfamiliar with the term often think that it's an island that's in the west of Montreal however, it's a part of the city that's west. West Island is home to everything from the City of Lachine west. Amanda Brugel's birthplace has been frequently mentioned, but her brief stay wasn't. Brugel became a young woman in Courtice Ontario, just outside Oshawa. The first goal she had was to become a dancer. Then, a growth spurt caused her to outgrow every dance partner she had. According to an article in the Toronto Star, she revealed that in heels she was six feet and one inch tall. Once I surpassed the size of my male friends then I stopped. Bruce was among the former dancers who turned to acting. The teacher she had at high school was what pushed her to take the next step. She was a teacher at the time who advised her to pursue a role for the school's annual production. It was her choice to take on the principal part in Anne of Green Gables after she tried out. After receiving the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Her career spans twenty years, and she's been in over 60 productions including big screen productions as well as smaller screens. Her most recognizable role was that of Rita (pictured below) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel played the role of Rita in The Handmaid's Tale the series filmed over ten years ago.
